WHAT DOES LINCOLN'S NEW VEHICLE LIMITED WARRANTY COVER?
The warranty's basic coverage lasts 48 months or 80,000 km - whichever milestone is reached first - comes with complimentary Roadside Assistance and comprises the repair, replacement or adjustment of any Lincoln parts proven to be faulty due to either materials or workmanship. Corrosion coverage applies to body sheet metal panels corroded due to defect from a source identical to those stated in the basic coverage plan, and runs as long as Lincoln's basic warranty coverage, unless corrosion has caused perforation in the vehicle's body, in which case coverage is extended to five years with no mileage cap.
Powertrain coverage applies to components in the engine, transmission or front, rear and all-wheel drive systems for a period of six years or 110,000 km, while Safety Restraint System Coverage applies to safety belts and air bags over five years or 100,00 km. In other words, Lincoln's New Vehicle Warranty plan leaves no stone unturned.
WHAT IS NOT COVERED UNDER LINCOLN'S NEW VEHICLE LIMITED WARRANTY?
Lincoln's New Vehicle Limited Warranty plan does not cover anything having to do with vehicle modifications, misuse or any superficial change in the vehicle caused by the elements and/or the environment. We also recommend you adhere to the maintenance guidelines in your owner's manual, as the limited warranty package doesn't apply to any issue stemming from failure to perform maintenance on your vehicle. Moreover, Lincoln's warranty plan won't cover any parts that aren't certified by Lincoln or installed by a Lincoln-certified technician, nor any proper Lincoln parts determined to have been damaged by non-Lincoln parts.
